Iniciativa por un “Mundo Herido”
(Una iniciativa pastoral de los Redentoristas de las Provincias de México y Denver)
Las necesidades urgentes de los migrantes y refugiados en todo el mundo claman a todas las personas de buena voluntad. Las guerras, los disturbios civiles, las enemistades duraderas entre naciones, las sequías, los desastres naturales, el cambio climático y la pandemia de COVID crean un entorno que produce la mayor migración de personas en la historia del mundo. La crisis de la migración moderna mueve a muchas personas a responder a nuestros vecinos de todo el mundo. Mucha gente ofrece un gran servicio para y con los pobres del mundo, pero hay muchos que necesitan más. Hay mucho que se puede y se debe hacer por la gente marginada de la sociedad.
Hay una necesidad de sanar las divisiones y la violencia en el mundo. Los migrantes del mundo necesitan aliento, apoyo y evangelización mientras buscan refugio de las crisis en sus países. Hay una necesidad de evangelización y apoyo para los trabajadores de la justicia que experimentan el dolor que surge al presenciar el sufrimiento y la injusticia. Y aquellos que crean ambientes de injusticia y peligro necesitan educación en moralidad y conversión para aliviar las condiciones que empujan a las personas a abandonar sus países de origen.
Oren por nuestra comunidad redentorista mientras discernimos nuevas formas de evangelizar a los refugiados, los voluntarios de justicia social y las personas en posiciones de poder.

(A pastoral initiative of the Redemptorist of the Mexico and Denver Provinces)
The urgent needs of migrants and refugees throughout the world cry out to all people of good will. Wars, civil unrest, long enduring enmities between nations, drought, natural disasters, climate change and the COVID pandemic create an environment producing the largest migration of people in the history of the world. The crisis of modern migration moves many people to respond to our neighbors from all around the world. Many people offer great service for and with the poor of the world, but there are so many needing help. There is much more that can and should be done for people on the margins of society.
There is a need for healing of divisions and violence in the world. Migrants of the world need encouragement, support and evangelization as they seek refuge from crises in their countries. There is a need for evangelization and support for justice workers who experience the heartache that comes in witnessing suffering and injustice. And those who create atmospheres of injustice and danger need education in morality and conversion to alleviate the conditions pushing people to leave their home countries.
Pray for our Redemptorist community as we discern new ways to evangelize refugees, social justice volunteers and people in positions of power.

Oh Jesús, tú nos llamas: “Síganme”. Bendice, Señor, a todos los que acogen tu llamado. Puede que el camino no sea fácil, pero tenemos la confianza de que todo es posible si caminamos contigo. Que este viaje nos abra los ojos a las maravillas de tu amor por nosotros. Oramos por toda tu gente, por todos los creyentes e incrédulos, por los líderes y seguidores. Oramos por la sanación, el perdón, la compasión, la justicia y la paz. Oramos para que, al seguirte, nosotros también podamos ser pescadores de hombres. Bendícenos en nuestro viaje.
O Jesus, you call us, “Come after me.” Bless, O Lord, all who welcome your call. The path may not be easy, but we have confidence that all things are possible if we walk with you. May this journey, open our eyes to the wonders of your love for us. We pray for all your people, for all believers and unbelievers, for leaders and followers. We pray for healing, for forgiveness, for compassion, for justice, for peace. We pray that as we follow you, we too can be fishers of men. Bless us on our journey.
