Una Guia para Ministerio Migrante

Catholic Migrant Farmworker Network

Fr. Mike

Fr. Mike is a Redemptorist missionary priest who has spent much of his life working with people who often find themselves outside the ordinary structures of Catholic life in the United States. Redemptorists are known as a community that strives to evangelize the “most abandoned” of society and the Church.

In April 2023, he assumes the position of Associate Director for CMFN, the Catholic Migrant Farmworker Network. CMFN supports the volunteers, catechists, clergy and religious serving farmworkers and rural immigrants.

After nearly 30 years dedicated to Hispanic ministry, Fr. Mike notes that “my attention to people of migration allows me the blessing of meeting Christ in the migrant.” He hosts the popular Facebook page Padre Migrante. He also authored the book Migrant Faith.

Fr. Mike McAndrew, C.Ss.R. joins the Catholic Migrant Farmworker Network as associate director. He will serve with Fr. Tom Florek, SJ. CMFN was formed by the USCCB in 1986 to support volunteers, catechists, clergy and religious serving farmworkers and rural immigrants. It will be exciting to have Redemptorists and Jesuits working together in the mission of CMFN.
