ESPERANZA
El primer capítulo de Fratelli Tutti presenta los desafíos a los que se enfrenta la Iglesia y el mundo. Después de abordar esos desafíos, el Papa Francisco concluye el capítulo con ESPERANZA. Considere su invitación para nosotros:
Se olvida que «no existe peor alienación que experimentar que no se tienen raíces, que no se pertenece a nadie. Una tierra será fecunda, un pueblo dará fruto, y podrá engendrar el día de mañana sólo en la medida que genere relaciones de pertenencia entre sus miembros, que cree lazos de integración entre las generaciones y las distintas comunidades que la conforman; y también en la medida que rompa los círculos que aturden los sentidos alejándonos cada vez más los unos de los otros». (FT. 55)

HOPE
The first chapter of Fratelli Tutti presents the challenges facing the Church and the world. After addressing those challenges, Pope Francis concludes the chapter with HOPE. Consider his invitation to us:
I invite everyone to renewed hope, for hope “speaks to us of something deeply rooted in every human heart, independently of our circumstances and historical conditioning. Hope speaks to us of a thirst, an aspiration, a longing for a life of fulfillment, a desire to achieve great things, things that fill our heart and lift our spirit to lofty realities like truth, goodness and beauty, justice and love… Hope is bold; it can look beyond personal convenience, the petty securities and compensations which limit our horizon, and it can open us up to grand ideals that make life more beautiful and worthwhile”. Let us continue, then, to advance along the paths of hope. (FT. 55)

Oh Jesús, tú nos llamas: “Síganme”. Bendice, Señor, a todos los que acogen tu llamado. Puede que el camino no sea fácil, pero tenemos la confianza de que todo es posible si caminamos contigo. Que este viaje nos abra los ojos a las maravillas de tu amor por nosotros. Oramos por toda tu gente, por todos los creyentes e incrédulos, por los líderes y seguidores. Oramos por la sanación, el perdón, la compasión, la justicia y la paz. Oramos para que, al seguirte, nosotros también podamos ser pescadores de hombres. Bendícenos en nuestro viaje.
O Jesus, you call us, “Come after me.” Bless, O Lord, all who welcome your call. The path may not be easy, but we have confidence that all things are possible if we walk with you. May this journey, open our eyes to the wonders of your love for us. We pray for all your people, for all believers and unbelievers, for leaders and followers. We pray for healing, for forgiveness, for compassion, for justice, for peace. We pray that as we follow you, we too can be fishers of men. Bless us on our journey.
