Progreso en un nuevo libro.
El Padre Migrante está aprendiendo más sobre publicaciones de lo que jamás supe. Agradezco a Raúl y María quienes me ayudaron en Fresno a publicar “La Fe del Migrante”. Fue una obra de amor que publicamos en poco tiempo. Creo que hicimos un buen trabajo y es hora de una secuela. Unos cinco años después de escribir “La Fe del Migrante”, comencé a considerar un segundo libro. Durante COVID en 2020, comencé el sitio web Padre Migrante y comencé a escribir un blog casi a diario. Siempre pensé que algún día sería bueno repasar esos blogs como base para un nuevo libro.
Después de 500 blogs, comencé a recopilar material, pero seguí posponiéndolo hasta octubre de 2023. Hace unas cinco semanas, comencé a enviar algunos borradores para que la gente los revisara. Ha sido muy alentador tener a mucha gente comentando, haciendo sugerencias y editando intensamente mi material. La semana pasada estaba casi listo para enviar mi documento, pero hubo dos recomendaciones excelentes más de los lectores de los borradores anteriores.
Creo que estaré listo para enviar mi libro a las publicaciones de Liguori el miércoles. Estoy preparando el último borrador esperando tener un documento final para que los traductores preparen el texto en español.
El título es: Camina con Mi Pueblo.
He escrito blogs antes sobre el ministerio con migrantes. Cuento muchas historias sobre mis experiencias en el ministerio. Oren por una finalización exitosa de este proyecto que ha ocupado gran parte de mi atención durante los últimos meses.

Progress on a new book
Padre Migrante is learning more about publishing than I ever knew. I thank Raul and Maria who helped me in Fresno publish “Migrant Faith”. It was a work of love that we put together in a short time. I think that we did a good job on it, and it is time for a sequel. About five years after writing Migrant Faith, I began considering a second book. During COVID in 2020, I began the Padre Migrante website and began writing an almost daily blog. I always thought that it would be good to someday go over those blogs as a foundation for a new book.
After 500 blogs, I started gathering material, but kept putting it off until around October 2023. About five weeks ago, I began sending out some drafts for people to review. It has been very encouraging having many people commenting, making suggestions and doing some heavy editing of my material. Last week, I was almost ready to submit my document, but there were two more excellent recommendations from readers of the earlier drafts.
I think that I will be ready to submit my book to Liguori publications on Wednesday. I am preparing the last draft looking forward to having a final document for translators to prepare the Spanish text.
The title is: Walk with My People.
I have written blogs before about migrant ministry. I tell many stories about my experiences in the ministry. Pray for a successful completion of this project that has taken up much of my attention for the past couple months.

O Jesus, you call us, “Come after me.” Bless, O Lord, all who welcome your call. The path may not be easy, but we have confidence that all things are possible if we walk with you. May this journey, open our eyes to the wonders of your love for us. We pray for all your people, for all believers and unbelievers, for leaders and followers. We pray for healing, for forgiveness, for compassion, for justice, for peace. We pray that as we follow you, we too can be fishers of men. Bless us on our journey.
