Acercarnos a los que han sido desechados por la sociedad es una vocación especial de los Redentoristas. Estar físicamente presente con ellos amándolos como hermanos les reafirma la dignidad que tienen en Cristo. Durante este año Padre Mike Houston, padre redentorista, tuvo la oportunidad de estar presente y servir a más de 2000 muchachos no acompañados por adultos que habían cruzado la frontera. “Lamentablemente, muchos jóvenes llegando aquí, se encuentran aislados, sin idea ninguna de donde ellos o sus hermanos se envían, explicó el Padre.
Los Redentoristas tienen una historia larga de ministrar a las necesidades espirituales y materiales de aquellos a quienes servimos. Ayúdenos a mantener nuestra presencia con los abandonados de todo Estados Unidos.

It is the Redemptorists’ unique call to be close to those who have been cast aside by society and to help them feel the fullness of their dignity in Christ. That’s why, earlier this year, the Redemptorists ministered to an estimated 2,000 teenage boys who crossed the Mexican border unaccompanied by adults. “Sadly, many young people are arriving here, only to find themselves being separated from their siblings with no idea where they, or their sisters and brothers, are being sent,” explained Redemptorist Fr. Mike Houston, C.Ss.R.
The Redemptorists have a unique history of ministering to the spiritual and material needs of those we serve. Please help us sustain our many ministries to the poor and most abandoned, and to our food and clothing banks in Redemptorist parishes throughout the US.
