Una vacación en familia
Esta semana tengo la oportunidad de unirme con mis hermanos y hermanas y sus familias en una tradición que comenzó hace cuarenta años. Cada cinco años pasamos cuatro días en el Parque Estatal Fort Robinson en el oeste de Nebraska. Tendremos alrededor de cincuenta participantes. Es un momento para que demos gracias a nuestros padres, a cada uno de nosotros y a todos los nuevos miembros de la familia por la gran bendición de tener una familia grande.
A menudo, en el pasado teníamos camisetas hechas para el evento, pero este año todos deben usar playeras de su universidad favorita. No estamos dispuestos a discutir fuera de cuál escuela es la mejor. Una de las mejores cosas es que las generaciones más jóvenes de nuestra familia esperan con ansias estas vacaciones familiares. Tenemos mucho que agradecer.
Como tenemos un sacerdote en la familia, habrá una Misa para dar gracias a Dios. Tenemos mucho que agradecer. Que todos los lectores de Padre Migrante se tomen un momento para recordar un buen momento o varios que hayan pasado con sus familias. Paz y oraciones de la familia McAndrew.

A family vacation
This week, I have the opportunity to join my brothers and sisters and their families for a tradition that began forty years ago. Every five years we take spend four days at Fort Robinson State Park in western Nebraska. We will have around fifty participants. It is a time for us to give thanks to our parents, each other and all the new members of the family for the great blessing of having a large family.
Often in the past we have T-shirts made up for the event, but this year everyone is to wear their favorite college team gear. We are set up for no arguments outside of whose school is best. One of the great things is that the younger generations of our family so look forward to this family vacation. We have so much to give thanks for.
Since we have a priest in the family, there will be a Mass to give our thanks to God. We have so much to be grateful for. May all of the Padre Migrante readers take a moment to remember a good time or several that you have had with your family. Peace and prayers from the McAndrew family.

Oh Jesús, tú nos llamas: “Síganme”. Bendice, Señor, a todos los que acogen tu llamado. Puede que el camino no sea fácil, pero tenemos la confianza de que todo es posible si caminamos contigo. Que este viaje nos abra los ojos a las maravillas de tu amor por nosotros. Oramos por toda tu gente, por todos los creyentes e incrédulos, por los líderes y seguidores. O Jesus, you call us, “Come after me.” Bless, O Lord, all who welcome your call. The path may not be easy, but we have confidence that all things are possible if we walk with you. May this journey, open our eyes to the wonders of your love for us. We pray for all your people, for all believers and unbelievers, for leaders and followers. We pray for healing, for forgiveness, for compassion, for justice, for peace. We pray that as we follow you, we too can be fishers of men. Bless us on our journey.
