Reconocer lo bueno en las personas para que brille lo mejor
Cuando el Apóstol Felipe le habló a Natanael acerca de Jesús, dijo: “Hemos hallado a aquél de quien escribió Moisés en la Ley y también los profetas. Es Jesús, el hijo de José de Nazaret”. Nathanael le replicó: “¿Puede salir algo bueno de Nazaret?” Felipe le contestó: “Ven y verás”. Cuando Jesús vio venir a Natanael, dijo de él: “Ahí viene un verdadero israelita: éste no sabría engañar.”
Jesús vio el bien en Natanael. Mientras Natanael estaba cerrado a ver el bien en Jesús, las palabras de Jesús desarmaron su escepticismo. Al reconocer el bien y la fe en Natanael, se expuso el potencial de Natanael, y él podría ser mejor.
Hay demasiada negatividad expresada hoy en formas que desalientan a las personas de fe débil. Todos necesitan aliento en la fe. Necesitamos dejar de lado nuestra negatividad personal para dejar que brille lo “mejor”. Comienza por no ver la falta, sino ver el bien. Busquemos el bien y no enfoquemos a nuestras debilidades.

When the Apostle Philip told Nathanael about Jesus, he said, “We have found the one about whom Moses wrote in the law, and also the prophets, Jesus son of Joseph, from Nazareth.” Nathaniel responded, “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, “Here is a true Israelite. There is no duplicity in him.”
Jesus saw the good in Nathanael. While Nathaniel was closed to seeing good in Jesus, the words of Jesus disarmed his skepticism. By recognizing good and faith in Nathanael, the potential of Nathanael was exposed, and he could be better.
There is too much negativity expressed today in ways that discourage people of weak faith. Everyone needs encouragement in faith. We need to put aside our personal negativity to let “better” shine. It begins by not seeing fault, but seeing good. Let us look for good and overlook our weaknesses.

O Jesus, you call us, “Come after me.” Bless, O Lord, all who welcome your call. The path may not be easy, but we have confidence that all things are possible if we walk with you. May this journey, open our eyes to the wonders of your love for us. We pray for all your people, for all believers and unbelievers, for leaders and followers. We pray for healing, for forgiveness, for compassion, for justice, for peace. We pray that as we follow you, we too can be fishers of men. Bless us on our journey.
