Carisma de San Alfonso
Mientras los Redentoristas celebramos hoy la festividad de San Alfonso, he estado reflexionando sobre la Constitución n.° 3. Si bien la constitución proviene de nuestra regla, aprobada después del Concilio Vaticano II, este carisma es lo que siempre nos ha motivado. Consideren nuestro carisma. Refleja fielmente a nuestro fundador, quien nos dijo que debíamos servir a los “más abandonados”.
Hoy, nuestro ministerio con migrantes, inmigrantes y otras personas difamadas y oprimidas. Oremos por los “más abandonados”.
“Los más abandonados, a los que la Congregación es enviada de modo especial, son aquellos a quienes la Iglesia no ha podido proporcionar aún medios suficientes de salvación; los que nunca oyeron el mensaje de la Iglesia o no lo aceptan al menos como buena nueva, y finalmente aquellos a quienes perjudica la división de la Iglesia”.

Charism of St. Alphonsus
As Redemptorists today celebrate the feast of St. Alphonsus, I have been reflecting on Constitution #3. While the constitution is from our rule approved after the Second Vatican Council, this charism is what has always motivated Redemptorists. Consider our charism. It truly reflects our founder who told us that we were to serve the “most abandoned”.
Today, our ministry with migrants, immigrants and others maligned and oppressed. Pray for the “most abandoned”.
“The most abandoned, to whom in particular the Congregation is sent, are those for whom the Church has not yet been able to provide sufficient means of salvation, those who have never heard the Church’s message, or at least do not receive it as the “Good News”, and finally those who suffer harm because of division in the Church.” (C.Ss.R. Const. 3)

Oramos por la sanación, el perdón, la compasión, la justicia y la paz. Oramos para que, al seguirte, nosotros también podamos ser pescadores de hombres. Bendícenos en nuestro viaje.
O Jesus, you call us, “Come after me.” Bless, O Lord, all who welcome your call. The path may not be easy, but we have confidence that all things are possible if we walk with you. May this journey, open our eyes to the wonders of your love for us. We pray for all your people, for all believers and unbelievers, for leaders and followers. We pray for healing, for forgiveness, for compassion, for justice, for peace. We pray that as we follow you, we too can be fishers of men. Bless us on our journey.
