Cuerpo y Sangre de Cristo
Este es el misterio de la fe más fácil de aceptar. No se trata de explicar la presencia de Cristo en el pan y el vino consagrados en la Misa. Se trata de cuánto confiamos en las palabras de Jesús. No dijo que el pan y el vino eran sólo un recuerdo de él. Él dijo: “Este es mi cuerpo”. y “Este es mi sangre”. Creemos en la presencia de Cristo en la Eucaristía, porque Jesús lo dijo.
En nuestros programas de ministerio campesino para la primera Comunión, siempre les decía a los catequistas que las palabras más importantes que un niño puede decir cuando se le pregunta qué recibe en la Comunión es que diga: “Es el cuerpo y la sangre de Cristo”. Que todos los creyentes sean bienvenidos para recibir a Cristo.

Body and Blood of Christ
This is the easiest mystery of faith to accept. It is not about explaining the presence of Christ in bread and the wine consecrated in the Mass. It is about how much we trust in the words of Jesus. He did not say that the bread and the wine was only a remembrance of him. He said, “This is my body.” and “This is my blood.” We believe in the presence of Christ in the Eucharist, because Jesus said so.
In our campesino ministry programs for first Communion, I always told the catechists that the most important words the child can say when asked what they receive in Communion is that they say, “It is the body and the blood of Christ.” May all believers be welcomed to receive Christ.

Oh Jesús, tú nos llamas: “Síganme”. Bendice, Señor, a todos los que acogen tu llamado. Puede que el camino no sea fácil, pero tenemos la confianza de que todo es posible si caminamos contigo. O Jesus, you call us, “Come after me.” Bless, O Lord, all who welcome your call. The path may not be easy, but we have confidence that all things are possible if we walk with you. May this journey, open our eyes to the wonders of your love for us. We pray for all your people, for all believers and unbelievers, for leaders and followers. We pray for healing, for forgiveness, for compassion, for justice, for peace. We pray that as we follow you, we too can be fishers of men. Bless us on our journey.
