Que la Iglesia ame a los migrantes
Quiero más que justicia, dignidad y cuidado para el migrante.
Quiero una sociedad que entiende y cuida mejor al migrante.
Quiero que los empleadores amen al trabajador migrante que ha hecho tanto y pasado por tanto para trabajar aquí, incluso cuando sufre abusos, humillación hasta el punto de aceptar esta realidad como mejor que vivir en condiciones económicas y sociales desfavorables de sus regiones de origen. Pero más que justicia para los inmigrantes, quiero que los empleadores amen a sus trabajadores y a sus familias.
Más que preocuparme por su necesidad de justicia, de derechos de inmigración, de salario y protección de los trabajadores, más que una apertura para sus esperanzas y sueños, quiero que los migrantes sean amados.
Me doy cuenta de que no sólo quiero que los pobres se SIENTEN amados por la Iglesia, quiero que SON amados por la Iglesia.
No es sólo que la gente de la Iglesia ame al migrante, quiero que los sacerdotes amen al migrante, quiero que los obispos amen al migrante.
Realmente no me importa si los pobres aman a la Iglesia, sino que la Iglesia ame a los pobres.
Papa Francisco dijo que quiere una Iglesia “PARA LOS POBRES”.

May the Church love the migrant
I want more than justice, dignity and care for the migrant.
I want a society that better understands and cares for the migrant.
I want employers to love the migrant worker who has done so much and been through so much to work here, even when they are abused, humiliated to the point of accepting the abuse as better than they were treated in their native lands. But more than justice for immigrants, I want employers to love their workers and the workers families.
More than care for their need for justice, for immigration rights, for worker pay and protection, more than an opening for their hopes and dreams, I want migrants to be loved.
I do not just want the poor to FEEL loved by the Church, I want them to BE loved by the Church.
It is not just that people of the Church love the migrant, I want priests to love the migrant, I want bishops to love the migrant.
I really do not care if the poor love the Church, but that the Church love the poor.
Pope Francis said that he wants a Church that is “FOR THE POOR”.

Oh Jesús, tú nos llamas: “Síganme”. Bendice, Señor, a todos los que acogen tu llamado. Puede que el camino no sea fácil, pero tenemos la confianza de que todo es posible si caminamos contigo. Que este viaje nos abra los ojos a las maravillas de tu amor por nosotros. Oramos por toda tu gente, por todos los creyentes e incrédulos, por los líderes y seguidores. O Jesus, you call us, “Come after me.” Bless, O Lord, all who welcome your call. The path may not be easy, but we have confidence that all things are possible if we walk with you. May this journey, open our eyes to the wonders of your love for us. We pray for all your people, for all believers and unbelievers, for leaders and followers. We pray for healing, for forgiveness, for compassion, for justice, for peace. We pray that as we follow you, we too can be fishers of men. Bless us on our journey.
