Último día de Cuaresma
Nuestro camino cuaresmal termina con el inicio del Triduo Pascual, que comienza el Jueves Santo. Celebramos los grandes misterios de nuestra fe en Cristo. Estos tres días son los mejores días para ser sacerdote. La gran mayoría de las confesiones han sido escuchadas. El jueves celebramos el llamado a ser sacerdote, un llamado a servir y alimentar al Pueblo de Dios. El viernes es un día en el que la liturgia misma es la homilía del día. Es un día para recordar la Pasión de Jesús, pero también un día para recordar que ponemos nuestro quebrantamiento al pie de la cruz. Es un día no sólo para recordar el perdón de Dios en nuestras vidas, sino también para orar por todas las personas del mundo.
En la liturgia oramos no sólo por el pueblo de nuestra Iglesia, sino por todas las personas en su búsqueda de una relación con Dios. Es un día para orar por quienes están en la periferia de nuestra Iglesia. Oramos por los que sufren por la separación de nuestras iglesias, por el pueblo Judío, por los que creen en Dios, pero no en Cristo. Oramos por aquellos miembros del Cuerpo de Cristo que no están convencidos de la presencia de Dios. Oramos por todo el pueblo de Dios. Después de esas oraciones veneramos la cruz que nos salva. Y lo recibimos en la Eucaristía.
El Sábado Santo es el día que es a la vez un día para descansar de todas las celebraciones de la Cuaresma y la Semana Santa, para prepararnos para la celebración gloriosa de nuestra salvación. No hay mejor tiempo del año que los próximos cuatro días.

Last day of Lent
Our Lenten journey ends with the beginning of the Easter Triduum, beginning on Holy Thursday. We celebrate the great mysteries of our faith in Christ. These three days are the best days to be a priest. The great majority of confessions have been heard. On Thursday we celebrate the call to be a priest, a call to serve and to feed the People of God. On Friday, it is a day when the liturgy itself is the homily for the day. It is a day of remembering the Passion of Jesus, but also a day of remembering that we place our brokenness at the foot of the cross. It is a day to not only remember the forgiveness of God in our lives, but we pray for all people of the world.
In the liturgy we pray not only for the people of our Church, but for all people in their search for a relationship with God. It is a day to pray for those who are on the periphery of our Church. We pray for those suffering because of the separation of our churches, for the Jewish People of God, for those who believe in God, but not in Christ. We pray for those members of the Body of Christ who are not convinced of the presence of God. We pray for all of God´s people. After those prayers we venerate the cross that saves us all. And we receive him in Eucharist.
Holy Saturday is the day that is both a day to rest from all the celebrations of Lent and Holy Week, to prepare for the glorious celebration of our salvation. There is no time of the year better than the next four days.

Oh Jesús, tú nos llamas: “Síganme”. Bendice, Señor, a todos los que acogen tu llamado. Puede que el camino no sea fácil, pero tenemos la confianza de que todo es posible si caminamos contigo. Que este viaje nos abra los ojos a las maravillas de tu amor por nosotros. Oramos por toda tu gente, por todos los creyentes e incrédulos, por los líderes y seguidores. Oramos por la sanación, el perdón, la compasión, la justicia y la paz. Oramos para que, al seguirte, nosotros también podamos ser pescadores de hombres. Bendícenos en nuestro viaje.
O Jesus, you call us, “Come after me.” Bless, O Lord, all who welcome your call. The path may not be easy, but we have confidence that all things are possible if we walk with you. May this journey, open our eyes to the wonders of your love for us. We pray for all your people, for all believers and unbelievers, for leaders and followers. We pray for healing, for forgiveness, for compassion, for justice, for peace. We pray that as we follow you, we too can be fishers of men. Bless us on our journey.
